Historic Speech of President Ahmadinejad in Bint Jbeil (2 miles north of the Israeli border)

Ahmadinejad in Bint Jbeil and Qana: Lebanese Are United, Steadfast, Victorious

by Nour Rida for the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon

Iranian President Ahmadinejad arrived to South Lebanon Thursday afternoon, where he delivered another speech in Bint Jbeil in a rally of thousands of citizens who cheered and chanted and waved their flags.

He said that the Lebanese people's resistance originates from faith, endurance, consistency and perseverance. He said "You proved that neither a force in the world is capable of conquering your resistance and that your faith, endurance and jihad are stronger than all oppression by the "Israeli" enemy". He said that the resistance men's blood and endurance proved that they are stronger than all fleets, gunships, tanks and warplanes.

"The Zionists planned to destroy this village, but it stood strong against the occupiers," Ahmadinejad said. "The whole world should know that the Zionist will eventually disappear and Bint Jbeil will remain alive," he added.

President Ahmadinejad stood in the very same land where Sayyed Nasrallah declared "Israel" weaker than a spider web only two weeks following the 2000 liberation, when "Israeli' forces left their tanks and equipment and fled to the occupied territories.

"The resistance of the Lebanese people stems from faith and patience," he said, noting that the Resistance is the symbol of the victory of the Lebanese people as well as the people of the entire region.

"There is no doubt that your enemies fear your unity. Unity is the symbol of patience, steadfastness and victory. We thank God that all the Lebanese had demonstrated a spirit of unity and patience, which allowed them to unite victorious."

President Ahmadinejad addressed the thousands of audience with encouragement, and with words that echoed "Let the world know that the Zionists had planned to attack the glorious Bint Jbeil, believing that it would frustrate the Lebanese. I declare here that Bint Jbeil is alive and shall remain alive, and let the world know that the Zionists will come to an end. Today, the Zionist occupiers have no choice but to return to their original homelands."

The Iranian people had their share in the speech as well, where Ahmadinejad also told the Lebanese that their fellow brothers in Iran will always stand by them and support them.

President Nejad also visited the village of Qana where he laid wreath at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Qana. He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain at the side of the nations of this region, noting that Qana's martyrs are alive whereas its enemies are dead, and that the southerners are winners while the Zionists have lost and are defeated.

The Iranian President reiterated the importance of the golden formula, the people-army-resistance tripartite, which is the solution to confronting the Zionist entity.

He over and over again thanked the Lebanese president and officials as well as the people for their hospitality and warm welcome.
