A bird's eye view of the vineyard
Holy Gospel according to Saint Matthew (10:26) and Saint John (8:32)
Trust not in princes, nor in the children of men, in whom there is no safety. His breath shall go forth, and he shall return to his earth; in that day all his thoughts shall perish.
Holy Prophet and King David (Psalm 145:3-4 according to the LXX)
To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.
Arundhati Roy

Thou shalt not be a perpetrator.
And above all,
Thou shalt not be a bystander

I am prepared to die, but there is no cause for which I am prepared to kill. I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent. Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.Mahatma Gandhi
I am for truth, no matter who tells it.

I am a pessimist by nature. Many people can only keep on fighting when they expect to win. I'm not like that, I always expect to lose. I fight anyway, and sometimes I win.

a Peace Party bringing left and right together. great idea. how about a letter campaign. can you provide McKinney, Buchanan, Kucinich, Nader emails?
@Eric: nope, I do not have any of their emails or even any contacts with their staffs, but I have been thinking about, and hoping for, the same thing. FYI - here is what I wrote on my message to my mailing list about this press conference:
I recently came across this video of the joint press conference of Ron Paul, Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader and I wanted to draw your attention to it, in particular those of you who live outside the USA and who might not fully appreciate the fact that there is a *REAL* opposition to the War Party in the USA. Paul, McKinney and Nader are some of the best, but not the only, representatives of this phenomenon (others include Kucinich, Buchanan and others). Sadly, they have not united their efforts so far, but at least they have openly stated that they have a basic set of common values.
The big weakness of their position is that the corporate media almost totally ignores them and I predict that this will continue as long as they do not united themselves into a Peace Party. Just imagine these people creating, say, a "Jeffersonian Party" together and offering a "Ron Paul and Ralph Nader" ticket and with a minimal political platform for peace, civil rights and freedom! There is no way the media could ignore them under such circumstances. Still, the USA might not be ready to give up its imperial dream yet and more pain, both economic and military, will be needed to open the tightly shut eye of the stupidified majority. Besides, the Neocons are still firmly in power having literally hijacked all of the government and corporate media.
But maybe, just maybe, this joint press conference is a very small first step in the right direction?
Kind regards,

Are you prepared to consume a fake "Debate" once again?
