Breaking news: Debaltsevo almost taken, Zakharchenko lightly wounded

Russian sources are reporting that NAF commanders estimate that Debaltsevo will be taken by the end of the day.  Also, Alexander Zakharchenko has been lightly wounded in the leg by some shrapnel.  He is resting and will resume his normal work tomorrow.

I will keep you posted as best I can later in the day.

Moscow talks over, results, if any, will be announced on Sunday

Russia media reports that after 5 hours of negotiations the talks are over, that they were "constructive" and that results will be finalized and announced on Sunday.

So nothing concrete yet.

Army and population in Ecuador are attempting to free their President

I am watching Telesur live on the Internet.  Several trucks filled with armed military personnel have arrived to the hospital were President Correa is being held.  The population is screaming slogans in support of the military.  A firefight has broken out and automatic fire is being heard.

The hospital building seems to be surrounded and the crowd is joining the assault against the police for which is using tear gas and automatic fire.

Military units have penetrated into the lower floor of the hospital where the President is being held.
